Brooke White

Tonight's show was so sad!!! I really really liked her, sure hope she gets some kind of signing or something because of her great performances. I would sure buy her CD!

SOO fun SEWING haha

I have had so much fun sewing this past week--more and more ideas pop into my head. There are lots of neat patterns and fabric out there. Paige, your pants are coming!! And I just found a great pattern for a real cute little top. Too bad I have to work, and sleep, and eat........

Starr is home

Starr came home last week after being at the trainer for a month. She is doing great, and such a different dog, but still a lot of work!! Two babies at the same time, boy are Hilary and Chris busy. Sure proud of you guys!!

The Fire

This was the beginning of last week, and we didn't just have the fire to roast marshmallows, we had it to keep warm. Of course the marshmallows were pretty yummy! It was pretty windy out and this fire was so neat to watch. Can't really tell by the picture, but because of the wind the flames would circle round and round in our fire chimney. That was fun!! Thanks Steve!

The Fishermen!!

Steve couldn't wait to take Lincoln fishing at the little pond by our house. He showed him how to make the bread into a little dough ball (secret recipe) and put it on the hook. Steve would hook the fish and Lincoln would reel them in. Of course the barb on the hook was crimped so the fish wouldn't get hurt, and they could let him swim away. They caught several, I didn't get a picture of the big one. Paige and I would feed the turtles. We fed the mommy the daddy the baby, and Paige would always find the brother.

GRANDBABIES

What can be better than this!!! Having our 3 grandchildren together at the same time, watching their interactions. Both Lincoln and Paige shared their favorite things, Paige's Meow, and Lincoln's Oso with Austin. Blessings Blessings Blessings!!! And such JOY!!

Our Heidi

Our dear sweet Heidi. Besides the fact that she is 3 month pregnant and full of emotions anyway, it was such a touching moment when she saw baby Austin for the first time. What a sweet moment put in my memory bank!! I always have told our girls how important memories are. They are ours forever, no body can change them or take them away. I love my memory bank!!

I Love Flowers

"Earth laughs in flowers...."

I went to a Master Gardner show this weekend, and the flowers were beautiful!! And I learned a lot, and anxious to try some new techniques!!

MY BUDDY

Lincoln, remember our "Special Secret" For ever and ever too! I am glad you are feeling better!
I love ya, Grammy

THE BATH

Isn't he so cute, nice and clean, snug as a bug in a nice warm towel, ------ But Oh Boy------
I thought I felt something warm!?

ACTION AT THE BEACH

Lincoln has always loved the ocean. When he was very young I would take him to the beach, and he would never be totally happy until I "took him out far"
Paige has no fear either, she fell from a wave hitting her, even went under a little, was up, wiped her face off and was ready for more. Their mom was like that. Heidi would crawl (before she could even walk) into the waves when we lived in Puerto Rico.
And our little sun bather Austin. His Grandpa Holtzee would be proud of him. It was a beautiful day, not real hot with a little breeze-----EVERYONE got a little too much sun

I am getting caught up with my blogging, but ther is more to come. It was just so wonderful to have our three girls here together. We did lots of fun things, and of course took lots of pictures. So until tomorrow, thanks for looking!!

I have started sewing again, and I have such cute little models to sew for. Steve bought me an embroidery machine, and everything I have made is either getting their name or initials on it. Sooo, or is that sew haha fun!!

A beautiful picture!!

April 13, 2008--Austin was blessed by Steve. Austin started to cry when Steve first started the blessing, but he quited right down and continued that way through the rest of the blessing, in fact he slept through the remainder of church.
What a hondsome little guy!! Austin wasn't a month old here and he is so strong. He was holding his head up and looking all over right from the very beginning.

Love this picture#!*?

Grandaddy and Austin

Chris, Lincoln and Paige

The first time we went to the beach it was pretty chilly. We went to Micklers Landing in Ponte Vedra Beach, "the shark tooth beach". We did find several. Hilary would find a "special place". Lincoln would come over and my goodness he would find one. He was pretty excited. Little Paige just kept stuffing her little pockets with lots of little treasures. Heidi even found one.

We had a great afternoon and Austin slept the whole time.

On Wednesday March 2nd Holly flew home from Provo, and met little Austin for the first time. On Thursday Heidi, Lincoln and Paige flew down from Virginia and also met Austin for the first time. They were wonderful reunions!

Inspirations

I wanted to start a blog mainly because 1. I enjoy Heidi's so much, and 2. sharing with family and friends pictures, thoughts and fun in my life is such a great way of staying in touch. I am a simple person engulfed in a compound life......but how do you change that, and do I really want to. I so admire the Amish and their way of life. I love reading about them, and whenever possible visiting the area in which they live. My family is one of my greatest joys, and as I get older it is definitely more joyous then those day to day frustrations, and balancing acts when our girls were younger. Life is great, and continues to get better, in spite of a few extra aches and pains in the morning.....
