Paige's 5th Birthday August 2,2010

It is fun to be able to take Austin with us when we visit Heidi. It seems like yesterday Little Paige Elizabeth was born. Where does the time go! I got this ruffell fabric and it made great leggins.

Look at that sweet face. Love you Paige!

Yoga Retreat

All hands helped in the kitchen. The retreat was held in a lovely old home that looked out over the lake from one side and the mountains from the other side. Wild blueberries grew all over and we had them at several meals. Lolee and I had a room that overlooked the lake, the wind blew in the window and sent the curtains flowing. Late at night and early in the am you could hear the lunes calling. What a week, we had yoga at 8:30 every morning and then again at 4:30 in the afternoon. It was a wonderful week, met really nice people and it was nice to spend so much time with Lolee, Steve's sister.

Relaxing after our 4:30 class.
This was a quaint little town, and had a great knitting store.

This was our welcoming sign. I flew in from Jacksonville and Lolee and a few other ladies flew in from CA. There were about 12 people in all.

Washington reception

Holly and Jon had a long trip back to Provo, but their truck was loaded. Jon's mom and dad gave them a table and chairs, which they really needed.
Our very dear friends, Sam and Diane Izzo, live in Washington and they came to the reception. It was so nice to catch up with them.
Craig and Thayne Orgill, Jon and Holly Orgill. The reception was so nice and we met lots of wonderful people
I love this picture!! Steve and I took a ferry ride, the same one he took every day when he lived in Bremerton and worked in Seattle in the FBI. The weather was great while we were there. We have been there twice and never saw any rain!
The background is better than the for ground!!! And it is hard to tell, but the view was beautiful. We got to visit with Steve's cousin Barbara.

Rehersal Dinner (SLC)

Craig and Thayne Orgill had the rehersal dinner at the Joseph Smith memorial building, it looked beautiful and the evening was wonderful.
Steve, Matt, Heidi and Lincoln sang, I love to see the Temple.
Hilary was smart and brought Leggos for the kids. Paige and Austin played with them UNDER THE TABLEHolly and Jon had a little helper.

Amy Butler Challenge

This was so much fun!! Last week I was visiting H0lly and Jon in Utah and went to this amazing quilt shop "The Material Girl". It was the best quilt shop I have ever been in. It will be a definite visit every time I visit. Holly picked out fabric and a quilt pattern, and she is ready to go. A good friend to Heidi is a quilter and really enjoys sewing, and she told me about the shop. She has a great blog, amylouwho: random thoughts from a multi-tasker, especially if you enjoy sewing. This month is dedicated to sewers, sewing month, something like that. Amy has offered an Amy Butler (the name of a designer of a special fabric) challenge. You have to use one of her patterns and or fabrics and submit it to her blog on Friday. While there Holly picked out the fabric she wanted for Amy Butler's Birdie Sling purse. It is finished and ready to go. Thanks Amy for the challenge!!

SNOW IN MAY!!

Good thing we had some sweat shirts in the car. Lincoln is smiling because he got me with the snowball he threw.
It was just beautiful up there. Austin's nose was red when we got back in the car. So glad we could have Chris, Hilary and Austin with us.
Chaco's in the snow?!?!
Thanks, you guys, for the fun and memories.

More Random Pictures

While we were in Utah for Holly and Jon's wedding we decided to take our usual trip to Jackson Hole, and Rexburg. Heidi had been in Utah for almost a month with the kids. One of Matt's sister got married before Holly and Jon. Heidi and Matt needed a new vehicle so they decided to buy it out there and drive home instead of making two trips out there with the family. Sooo we gave Heidi a little break and brought Lincoln and Paige with us. We were on our way and we had a great time.

This was in Rexburg at the Ritchie's. When we lived in San Antonio we met Carl Ritchie while he was on his mission. He lived on a dairy farm and I always liked to talk to him about it. We kept in touch with their family and when Hilary went to Ricks (now BYU Idaho) we visited and became great friends. Hilary lived with them one summer and helped out a lot with the milking. She spent many hours in this milking barn. They no longer have cows and it was a little sad, but great memories will remain. At different times when we stayed with them I would help with the milking. I never got up for that 4am milking. Hilary was a lot better at that than I was.
Temple Square is always beautiful, no matter what season, but I especially enjoy it when the tulips are in bloom, which they were for that visit
Austin always seemed to get a ride on the luggage!!
