Savannah, Georgia

Trish and I went to Savannah, she has a little job of reading electric meters, and I went along to keep her company. We went to Paula Deen's for lunch. The line goes quickly, and it was a fun place to eat.
We were walking around early that evening and came across a free concert. The symphony played and the artists painted. It was a real treat and very entertaining. The paintings were auctioned off after.
We stayed in an old loft apartment that a friend of Trish owned . It was large and very opened and very old Savannah.

Steve's Birthday

Blowing out the candles on his favorite cake, with some help.
Happy Birthday Steven, and many more!!

The Shuttle

You hear about a shuttle that is to go off at Cape Canaveral and you wait, and wait, and wait.

and finally it happens. Too bad I missed most of it!!

More Birthday

Hilary had everything decorated so cute. Eating the top tier, part of the tradition!

Austin Turnes 1

Present time. Lexi Hicks was lots of help to, was good because Austin wasn't too interested this year. Give him another year!! The first birthday I think is more for the Moms. Such a time to reminisce! You can't tell in this picture, but Austin looks just like his Dad. Grammy and Austie.
Sally, my sister, started the 4 tiered birthday cake with her children. Tradition goes on!!
Papa Tyke and Grandma Betty came from Illinois to be there for Austin's 1st birthday.

Art's SUPRISE 70th Birthday Party

This one was a hard one to pull off, but the family did a great job. Art had no idea, he was quite surprised. Everyone that is special to him was there. We all sent pictures and Debbie put together a wonderful video. There were pictures of him as a little boy, pictures of him and his 2 sisters, playing football, with his cars, with his dad and my dad, and of course with best friends from high school, the video was about an hour. And with his very best friend, his son Artie (to me) but most everyone else Art. They have worked together for the past several years, fished together on several trips, and just have spent lots of time together. A relationship that any dad and son would like to have.
Pictured are some of his grandchildren. Between he and Janet there are several.
Janet and Art. They sure look happy. I really don't know how Janet kept the surprise a secret!!
Art has been in my life longer than anyone else I know, and what a blessing. We don't get together often enough but when we do it is always a great trip down Memory Lane, laughter and tears and more laughter and tears. He even lets me drive his cars, and not to many people get to do that! He has always been a special person in my life! Thanks Art for all you have done for me, especially your love and support!

Paige at our Home

We love it when we have each grandchild by themselves. Paige loves to pretend, we have a couple of the little stone birds, and she likes to have them talk to each other. I love it!
Austin is here on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so Paige and Austin got to spend time together. Austin likes to climb, and Paige is the little helper?
We like to go to Brewsters for ice cream and as long as she isn't any taller than the picture of the clown she gets her ice cream cone free. She runs over and measures up first.
Austin would push Paige and she would fall over. He thought that was the funniest thing. Nothing is better than being a Grammy!!
