A Pond Near Heidi's
There is this great pond near Heidi and Matt's that they like to take the kids and their dog Roxy to. Matt has some pheasant feathers wrapped together to help Roxy learn to retrieve? Roxy thought the water was too cold so Matt had to do the retrieving!?
Love this picture. They could run all the way around the pond, and they did so holding hands.
July 2009 FUN EVENING AT THE BEACH
Stories at the end of the evening! Hope they always want to snuggle at story time!!
Those evening walks on the beach always turn into more fun! I think playing in the ocean is more fun with their clothes on than a swim suit! Steve had to keep pulling Paige's pants up, or for sure she would have lost them.

Fly Fishing in NH
We decided to take a day and go fly fishing while we were there. The day was a little rainy but good for fishing. Our guide was a big guy, and what a nice guy. I only fished half the day, it got a little too rainy for me. The trout sure were pretty.
I left after lunch and went shopping. I found King Arthur's flour mill and a great little town called Norwich. The people were all so nice, it had a great library, yarn shop and bakery
Our guide made a great lunch, and very healthy too. It was so good we thought his wife made it.
We toured the Shaker museum and learned so much about them. They were wonderful carpenters and craftsmen. They all lived together, men in one part, women in another and children in another. There were no families. Men and women could not even look at one another. A man and women would sneak away so they could be together and marry. Children were sometimes dropped off there because the families were unable to take care of them, and they knew they would be taken care of by the Shakers. It was almost impossible for the families to get there children back if their situations changed and they were again able to take care of them. Steve is pulling the cord that rang the large bell.
